PROMOTIONAL VIDEO CONTEST RESULTS FOR NONRESIDENT AND FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS

The works of the participants listed below got the highest score based on the expert's assessments.

These teams are given special conditions from the organizers: accommodation in one of the best hotels in St. Petersburg - Sokos Olympia Garden, meal during all days of the festival, city tours, transfers.

In the following few days the team leaders will be contacted by the organizers of the festival to solve organizational issues.

Dear participants of International Robotics Festival «RoboFINIST 2016»!

The festival organizers suggest you to take part in an exciting competition of movies.

To take part in the competition, make a promotional video about your robot or about your team. Videos can be made in any style: interview, animated cartoon, movie, etc. The competition winners will be awarded with presents and valuable prizes.

Excellent news for foreign and non-resident teams: 140 authors of the best movies according to the expert commission estimation will get special conditions. The festival organizers assume all the costs for the winners' accommodation in one of the best hotels of Saint Petersburg, meals, transfers, and all the activities during the whole period of the festival.

Terms of competition

1. To take part in the competition the robots must be registered in the following types of competition:

2. Terms of competition for foreign and non-resident teams.

Organizers provide special conditions for 140 participants (including team managers) that send their movies by the 5th of September and get maximum estimation ponts. If two movies get equal quantity of points, the priority will be given to the earliest-received movie.

Each maximum-point movie allows to get special conditions from organizers to two team members.

3. To take part in the competition, the team must send a link for its video about its robot (robots) at YouTube. Practical Olimpiad participants should send a movie about their team. Link for the video is to be indicated at registration in the field «Link for Promotional Movie».
The movie title must have the following format: RoboFinist2016_[title of robot / team]. 
Example of movie title: RoboFinist2016_Pobeda.

4. The movie presented by the team must correspond to the following criterea:

• Length of the movie: not more than 2 minutes, not less than 30 seconds.

• The movie must contain the process of the robot fulfilling the task corresponding to the chosen competition category.

• The movie must contain the robot developers and their contribution to its establishment.

• The movie must cover the topic: «Our robot is a participant at the festival RoboFinist 2016» or «Our team participates in the festival RoboFinist 2016».

• The movie for the competition must differ from a technical video, necessary for participance in some categories by brevity and creative decision.

5. Each team has the right to present an unlimited quantity of movies, different in content. One can make movies about one robot or about different robots.

6. Movies will be estimated by the Expert Commission with a 5-points scale, taking into consideration:

• creative approach and originality 

• meeting the requirements 

• technical complexity of the robot

• informative value

• emotional impact

7. «Audience Award». The movie that takes maximum «Like» points at YouTube will get an Audience Award Prize. In case two movies obtain equal quantity of «Like» points, the priority will be given to the earliest-received movie.
